Cybercrime is rapidly increasing in today’s world. According to Indian Computer Emergency Response (CERT-In), the first two months of 2022 has reported more cybercrimes than the entire 2018. India reported 2,08,456 incidents in 2018 and 2,12,485 incidents in the first two months of 2022. Majorly, the cybercrime is increasing through Internet. What is Cyber Awareness? Cyber Awareness involves the process of educating the internet users on cyber security best practices, cyber threats, the danger of clicking on malicious link or downloading an infected attachments, interacting online, disclosing sensitive information and so on, which they are or might face in today’s time. The hackers mostly hack the system to disclose and use the personal information of the victim (mostly youngsters) to blackmail them.
